1. Introduction

Fit Trainer ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the Fit Trainer application.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, date of birth, gender, and an optional profile picture. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider (Auth0), and we never see or store your password.

Body and fitness data: Height, weight, and related metrics such as BMI and body-fat percentage, fitness level, injury notes, training goals, available equipment, exercise preferences, and your workout history (exercises, sets, reps, weights, durations, and timestamps).

AI coach conversations: The messages you exchange with your AI trainer are stored so your coach can remember context and adapt your training over time.

Device and usage data: Device type, operating system, app version, and how you interact with the App, including analytics events and session replays of in-app screens, collected to diagnose problems and improve the product.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and personalise the Fit Trainer service
• Generate workout plans and coaching. Your profile, fitness data, and coach conversations are processed by AI model providers (currently OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) to produce these responses
• Improve and develop new features
• Send important notifications about your account or the service
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, and the App does not use advertising identifiers. We share data only with service providers that power the App, under data processing agreements: AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) that generate your workout plans and coaching responses; RevenueCat for subscription management; PostHog for analytics and session replay; Sentry for error monitoring; Cloudinary for profile-picture storage; and our cloud hosting and database providers. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time directly in the App (Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account). This removes your profile, body and fitness data, workout history, AI coach conversations, and preferences. You can also request deletion by emailing support@fittrainer.ai.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption of data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@fittrainer.ai.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
